Customers of both Greek Aegean Airlines and Brussels Airlines will benefit from the commercial co-operation agreement recently signed by the airlines. The agreement includes code-share for the Brussels/Athens route and customers will be able to enjoy the new arrangement as early as January 2009. Aegean Airlines will offer Brussels as a destination as a result of this agreement. This new destination is in addition to many others in the Aegean Airlines International Network that is quickly growing.
The offer for travel between Greece and Brussels will be commercialized by the two airlines based on their partnership agreement, which will allow seats to be sold by Aegean Airlines for Brussels Airlines operated flights travelling between Athens and Brussels. In addition, Brussels Airlines will be able to offer customers additional transfer options from Athens including Heraklion (Crete), Thessaloniki, and Rhodes.
The schedule will improve even more for customers this summer when Aegean Airlines adds a daily flight to Brussels. Both companies will have their respective codes, A3 and SN, on each flight.
Dimitris Gerogiannis, CEO of Aegean Airlines, stated, “We’re very happy with this important new partnership, which will allow us to extend our European network reaching the Heart of Europe and benefit from the experience and the professional know how of Brussels Airlines.”
Aegean Airlines’ top priority is providing top of the line services to its customers while meeting their ever exceeding expectations. Enhancing its network, as it has done with Brussels Airlines, is one of its main goals and upgrades will continue in the future similar to the new travel options between Belgium and Greece.
Brussels Airlines EVP Strategy & Business Development Erik Follet is positive about the partnership between the two airlines. He said, “Thanks to this partnership with Aegean Airlines, Brussels Airlines reinforces significantly its flight offer to Athens and the rest of Greece.”
