Easyjet are set to place new aircraft – based at both Liverpool and Manchester
Today (6th Jan 09) Easyjet announced that it is going to open a total of 14 new routes around Europe. The new flights are scheduled to start in summer of this year, and 9 of the routes to be launched will be from regional UK airports – Thus giving flyers a much better choice from their local airport.
The fares from the new routes will start at £22.99.
The Chief Executive of Easyjet, Andy Harrison, said:
“We start the new year with 14 new routes which will be popular with sun seekers, city breakers and business travellers alike.
We are proud to keep growing in Liverpool and Manchester, where we will base additional aircraft that will boost the local economy, create much needed jobs and give even more destinations at our famously low fares.”
Another part of this expansion will see easyjet increasing their aircraft at both Liverpool and Manchester. (Liverpool from 1st June 09, Manchester 4th August 09).
